Giant Traditional House in Pontianak

Pontianak have a huge custom home building typical of the Dayak, name is Radakng House. This house can accommodate up to 50 families. Radakng House is thr name of the Dayak Kanayatn in West Kalimantan and up until now, it still as the the huge custom house in Indonesia.

Papua

Papua is a land of contrasts, with some of the most impenetrable jungles in the world and snowcapped mountain peaks towering over glacial lakes. Papua is Indonesia’s largest and eastern most province and covers the western half of the world’s second largest island.

Located approximately 80 Km from Malang, or about 180Km from Surabaya, the capital of East Java, the best way to reach Sempu Island Nature Reserve is to rent a car or arrange a package tour. The trip from Surabaya to Malang will take approximately 2 to 3 hours depending on traffic conditions. From downtown Malang, it is about another 2 to 3 hours drive before you can get to the departing point to Sempu Island,at  Sendang Biru Beach. From the Sendang Biru beach you need to rent a boat that will take you to Sempu Island. It is best if you contact the Nature Reserve post at Sendang Biru beach since they will provide you with guide to lead you to Sempu Island. The boat will coast IDR 100.000 for the return trip and can accommodate up to 10 persons. Make sure you arrange the pickup time or get the boatman mobile phone number for the return trip.

Sidoarjo is a regency (kabupaten) of East Java, Indonesia. Sidoarjo  is bordered by Surabaya city and Gresik  to the north, by Pasuruan Regency to the south, by Mojokerto Regency to the west and by the Madura Strait to the east. It has an area of 634.89 km², making it the smallest regency in East Java. As at the 2010 Census, Sidoarjo had a population of 1,945,252. What is Nusantara?

Nusantara today is an Indonesian term for the Indonesian archipelago. It originated in Old Javanese and literally means "archipelago". In Malay, Nusantara means the Malay world.

The word Nusantara was taken from an oath by Gajah Mada in 1336, as written in the Old Javanese Pararaton and Nagarakretagama. Gajah Mada was a powerful military leader and prime minister of Majapahit who was credited with bringing the empire to its peak of glory.
